ESPN"Swat An Anchor" Game & Affiliate Program

Role: Creative Director, Copywriter


ESPN wanted to create a program for the affiliates to help them promote the channel. Since SportsCenter is well known for not taking itself too seriously, we recommended creating a "Swat An Anchor" game where users had to hit the different SportsCenter anchors with a microphone to earn points. A leaderboard in the game tapped into players' competitive spirit and encouraged repeat playing. I led a team that developed the game, marketing assets, an affiliate website to help promote the program. Every anchor had to approve their likenesses and usage of their catch phrases like "Boo-yah!" A great program that everyone had a lot of fun creating.
